What "Mountains Out" Means to Us
Living in the Pacific Northwest can mean long stretches of rain and low clouds and a general haze. But then one clear morning, your local Cascade Range neighbor (for Tacoma, that’s Mount Rainier) reemerges, impossibly close, and the whole day just feels different.
We bring this same attitude to the work we love to do, greeting even gray days with the camera ready—as if the mountain’s already out. For ten years and counting, we’ve infused that energy into content for brands and nonprofits across the PNW.

Mountains Out Media is proud to call Tacoma, Washington home. And being in-market is particularly crucial for video production, as hands-on creative work like cinematography, videography, and photography can be labor and logistics intensive.
Being local means knowing the light, the locations, and the talent needed for a given shoot. We’ve spent a decade putting that knowledge to work for organizations across the greater Puget Sound region, from major employers to local nonprofits. We also hire locally, meaning that throughout the entire production process, every dollar spent stays right here in our community. What does “full-service video production” actually mean?
It means you can rely on us for everything your project needs: concept and pre-production through filming, editing, and delivery, all with one media partner and one point of contact throughout.
How long does a typical video production project take, from kickoff to final delivery?
Every project is different, but most run about three weeks from kickoff to final delivery. Depending on your scope and timeline, we can move faster or take a little extra time to really elevate the finished product.
How much does a typical production cost?
Packages start at $4,000 for a simple one-day shoot and edit, with cost scaling from there based on complexity. Not every project fits with the same box, so we’re always glad to talk through your needs and find something that works for your budget and goals.
Do you handle scripting and concept development, or just filming?
Absolutely. We can help you think through your goals and build a plan around them, drawing on your industry expertise to shape a message that drives results you can measure and feel.
What kinds of videos do you produce? Brand films, testimonials, commercials, something else?
All of the above, and then some. We specialize in brand anthem videos, case studies, and testimonials, but our crew can take on nearly any type of production and scale the team to fit, so you’re never paying for more than the job needs.
What's your favorite local hike?
If we had to pick one, it’s the High Divide and Seven Lakes Basin Loop. Across 22 miles, you’ll wind through old-growth forest, past alpine lakes, and catch glimpses of ice-capped peaks. Break it into a couple of days and camp in Seven Lakes Basin to really soak it in!
